Julián Inza

Julián Inza, founder and chairman of EADTrust, is an expert in qualified trust services and a highly regarded professional in the sector.

Career

Julian pioneered the digitalization of financial institutions: at Banesto he designed the first electronic banking system in Spain back in 1995, as well as the first virtual POS terminal and the first certification authority. He was also vice president of Mobipay International, the first company in the world to create mobile payment systems.

He worked for more than 9 years on modernizing the justice system, collaborating with the Directorate-General for Digital Transformation of the Justice System and the State Technical Committee for the Electronic Justice System (CTEAJE).

At EADTrust, Julián leverages all his knowledge and expertise to ensure our digital trust solutions meet the highest standards of digital certification and preventive legal certainty.

Membership of institutions and technical committees

Julian is a member of the management board of AMETIC (the association representing the digital industry sector in Spain) and is currently the chairman of AMETIC’s Blockchain Committee. He is also a member of UNE (ISO) Standardization Committee CTN 71/SC 307 - blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, and an adviser on identity to the Global Legaltech Hub (GLTH) Advisory Board.

Academic background and certifications

He has a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (1988) and holds Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) certifications as a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE).

Teaching activities

Julián provides training for the eIDAS auditor certification and has taught on numerous courses in the areas of cryptography, innovation and emerging technologies.
